![]() ![]() The $410 per year might make more sense than the thousands to buy one of the newer, old full price versions.Īlso use Adobe for post render work and marketing stuff. within a year, I had enough profit to upgrade. I wrote a post describing my choice to start with Revit LT. and if you're not already grandfathered into a maintenance subscription, you have to accept their current subscription model (monthly, quarterly or yearly).ĭepending on what you do, Revit LT might also be an option. Thanks! My understanding is that Autodesk only sells the current version. Does anybody know where I might be able to buy an older version of Revit and avoid the subscription? ![]() The problem is it seems like Autodesk has wiped it's (or any other previous version of Revit) from the internet and history. I currently run Revit 2013 and would be happy to use the same going forward. Those are priced for bigger firm and actual companies and are far too expensive for a one man start up. Obviously that means it will be a struggle to generate any kind of profit in the beginning so I really don't want to do subscription based software - although it seems that's where everything is going. Given that I'll be starting from almost scratch, I'll need to purchase my own things. I'm trying to price what it might cost to start my own design and drafting company as I believe the company I work for is about to go out of business. Not sure if I've posted this in the correct place.
